Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, 501 Yanceyville, will host Coast to Curb Seafood Celebration September 21st to celebrate the North Carolina’s bounty from the sea and land. Co-chefs Mary Lacklen, of the Award Winning Café 200, Mosaic Restaurant and Wine Bar, and Bert’s Seafood Grille, and George Smith, of NC Fresh Seafood and Smith Century Farm, will be preparing a variety of fresh, local seafood and sides for this first ever "shellebration."
"Snack"-tail hour will include fresh, hot hush puppies, made with Old Mill of Guilford local ingredients, and Brightleaf hot dogs, the famous red hots made in Smithfield, NC. The main course platter will include a generous portion of shrimp, crab, roasted oysters, potatoes, corn, and slaw. An array of locally made condiments will be available to accompany the casual meal.
Small Fry Children's Platters will be available for children under 10 and will include a Brightleaf hot dog, hush puppies, corn, potatoes, slaw, optional shrimp, and a serving of either crab or oyster. Limited reserve seating is available for groups of six which include reserved table seating and a swag bag of North Carolina regional specialties for the purchasing patron.
A variety of libations will be available including complimentary fruit and herbal infused water with a cash bar serving beer and wine.
Optional "snack"-tails begin at 4 pm with the main course beginning at 5 pm. Live music with Guitarist, Singer, and Songwriter Andy Squint and additional activities will take place throughout the evening.
