Open Cooking Class: Part Deux offers more "technical" kitchen skills that takes instruction up a notce from our basic Open Cooking Classes. Don't worry! This class is still accessible for beginners -- or for those who want to brush up on their skills. The goal is to learn AND to bring improved culinary knowledge to your own kitchen. These classes are taught by Chef Reto.
Basic French Sauces!
This hands-on class is for those who want to learn basic French sauces: French Vinaigrette, Mayonnaise, Bechamel, Hollandaise, Red Wine and Shallot, Caramel and Chocolate sauces. The menu will feature Croque Monsieur, a Salmon and Asparagus entree, and housemade Choux Puffs for dessert.
Classes start at 6 pm at last about 2 1/2 hours.. Most participants are 21+, however those under 18 years of age may attend with a parent or guardian. Classes are BYOB; complimentary beverages are available.
Street parking exists but is sometimes difficult to find. We recommend parking in the Suds-N-Duds parking lot across from Best Way grocery store.
