About This Event
Direct from NYC - Broadway's Next Hit Musical presents:
You write the titles. We make up the songs. The winner becomes a hit musical comedy, created right before your eyes.
No script, No sheet music, No problem! Every song is fresh. Every scene is new. Every night is different. It’s all improvised, and it’s all hysterical!
The New York Times calls Broadway’s Next “Hilarious!”
Time Out NY says “At last! A musical of, for, and by the people.”
Broadway’s Next is the world’s only unscripted musical comedy awards show. Audience members
write down made up song titles and Broadway’s Next’s master improvisers, then present them as “nominated songs” for the coveted Phony Award. The cast creates spontaneous scenes and songs, filled with catchy melodies, clever lyrics, creative choreography, and tons of laughter. The audience then votes for their favorite song, and watches as the cast turns that winning song into a full-blown improvised musical - complete with memorable characters, witty dialogue, and plot twists galore.
Broadway’s Next has performed extensively throughout the United States, as well as internationally.
In New York City, Broadway’s Next performs regularly at their home theater, 54 Below, NYC’s premiere Broadway cabaret space (formerly Studio 54). They have also been seen at The Triad Theater, The Tribeca Film Festival, and at The New York Musical Theater Festival, among many other locations.
Under the direction of improv veterans Rob Schiffmann (The Today Show) and Deb Rabbai, TheaterWeek hailed the show as “brilliant” and The New York Post called Broadway’s Next “remarkable.”
Don’t miss BROADWAY'S NEXT HIT MUSICAL—it could be written by YOU!
